Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is very dated and not particularly clean, with rooms stuck in the 80s that don't drain well. However, the location is perfect for the Silverstone Circuit and near a nice market town. The dining experience could be improved, but the service is decent.
When I arrived, the room wasn't ready as it was supposed to be a double, but it lacked space for two bedside tables. Not very clean, no coat-hangers in the wardrobe, and the only bedside lamp wasn't working. Carpets and curtains need replacing, no mattress or pillow protectors. I had to plug the kettle in under the dressing table to make a drink. The bathroom was small but adequate, although it was full because it hadn't been emptied before I took the room.
The hotel's location is super central, making it convenient for my overnight stay including breakfast. The rooms were decent once the heating kicked in, but the noise from the stairs was a bit bothersome. The dining experience was charming in the historical building, but some improvements could be made for an early start. Overall, it's a good value for what I needed for a short stay.
